PropAIdir is an independent directory of AI tools for real estate professionals — agents, brokers, and property investors. Our goal is simple: help you find the right tool without wading through sponsored rankings or marketing noise.
This page explains exactly how our assessments work, what they currently are, and — just as importantly — what they are not.
We are transparent about the maturity of our evaluations. Every tool on PropAIdir moves through two stages:
Every tool currently listed has been evaluated using publicly available information, not hands-on testing. Our research-based assessment draws on signals we can verify and document:
From these signals we produce a 5-dimension score and a cautious verdict (Worth Exploring / Promising / Early Stage).
What a research-based assessment is NOT: it is not a hands-on review. We have not necessarily created an account, processed real transactions, or used the tool in a live brokerage workflow. Every research-based assessment on the site carries a clear disclaimer to that effect.
Our roadmap is to progressively replace research-based assessments with hands-on editorial reviews — where our editors actually use the tool, test its core workflows, and report what they find. Tools that have completed a hands-on review will be clearly marked as such, distinguishing them from research-based entries.
We would rather tell you honestly "we haven't tested this yet" than pretend to an authority we don't have.
Every tool is scored 1–5 on five dimensions:
Scores reflect the evidence available at the assessment stage. A research-based score is an informed starting point, not a final word.
We do not accept payment in exchange for scores, verdicts, or ranking position. If we ever introduce paid placements (such as a clearly labeled "Featured" slot), those placements will be visually disclosed and will never influence a tool's editorial score. This is a permanent commitment, not a current revenue model.
If you are a vendor and believe an assessment is inaccurate, or a user who spots an error, contact us at editor@propaidir.com. We review every correction request and update assessments when the evidence warrants it.
